I bought a car from James Bentley precisely because he had good reviews and I'm pleased he did. There were a couple of issues after the vehicle had been delivered - faulty sensor light and then a fuel injector problem that caused a breakdown on boxing day.... But repairs were paid for promptly and without question. Queries were answered quickly and communication was smooth even when the delivery driver picked up a speeding ticket on the way down which needed sorting. Without James Bentley's assistance and customer service this could have been an absolute nightmare. Hopefully all the bad luck is now out of the way and I genuinely would purchase from them again in the future.

My family and I just bought a car from Sam’s shop recently and it was a great experience. The service was excellent from start to finish even though we made an appointment only a day before our preferred date. All the staff was very professional, experienced and knowledgeable especially Sam who answered all our questions including all the requirements needed to own and drive a car in the UK. The car itself was in a very good condition and Sam gave a very detailed history of the vehicle including recent maintenance which passed all the necessary checks. He even provided a free delivery of the car to our place to top it off. It was really a pleasure buying a car from him and would definitely recommend him for others looking to purchase their own vehicle. 😁😊

It was so refreshing dealing a company who are so well organised and pleasant to deal with. Sam and all his staff were so helpful and friendly. Everything was arranged really efficiently and Sam me some great advice and the number of someone to help me fix my other vehicle. They even drove the car to the other side of the clean air zone so I didn't have to pay the fee. So nice and thoughtful. Buying a car with them was brilliant from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I purchased a Skoda superb from Sam, I was coming from Cornwall and Sam kindly kept the shop open late for me on a Friday evening.

The car was well priced and was clean tidy as described.

During the test drive everything seemed spot on and the car felt good.

Unfortunately at motorway speeds their was a a vibration, which was caused by old tyres which needed replacing.

I notified Sam and he got the problem sorted quickly with no fuss or quibbles.

We bought a 2014 Ford Focus (Sam was our salesman) after finding the listing for it online at Auto Trader. Great experience - was able to test drive the car twice, no pressure to buy. We put a deposit on the car while we made our decision and received prompt and great communication throughout. Sam went above and beyond, as we had a minor issues with the car after buying where the check engine light came on about 10 miles into driving the car after buying. Sam referred us to a garage and covered the bill to have it checked. Car was fine, just a faulty sensor that needed replacing! Have driven over 150 miles now and no other issues. Overall, great experience (I've bought cars both in the UK and US and this was one of the best) - highly recommend.

The best dealership service I have ever received from sam and his team. Sam was really polite and informative on the phone prior to the inspection of the van. Got even better after that. He listened to all my concerns about the vehicle offered to get them resolved the same day even on a Saturday. After purchasing the van I explained that I needed to drop my car off. He offered for someone to pick me up. When I got back to the dealership he had even put half a tank of fuel into the van. This is a top class dealer ship and definitely will be checking the dealer ship stock before I look anywhere else for another motor. Even though this was the lower end of what stock they have I still felt treated as this was one of his high end stock. Many thanks!

We found a car on Autotrader and contacted James Bentley Motors and got a quick appointment. The car was as per description and Sam walked us through all the features, service history, paper work etc etc. He was very delighted to answer any questions we may have and let us examine the car as much as we liked. We did a part exchange and Sam's offer was way better than other dealers we met. The deal was done and we are pretty impressed with the purchase.
